When editing a macro photo, it is important to bring out as much detail as possible. You can crop the image to make things seem larger and then sharpen the entire image to accomplish this. You can also make the shadows and highlights more prevalent by using levels, curves, or any other tool available. This makes the image more exciting and pleasing to look at.

"They say a picture is worth a thousand words." But who are "they"? I submit to you that "they" are the governments' of each of the United Nations members. They want us to believe that words are no longer necessary, that all we need is pictures. This phrase means to me that instead of writing lots of essays about what i do, I can just take some pictures throughout my life and it will mean basically the same thing. Bringing back memories, pictures can make you think of events that you may have forgotten about. And THAT is what THEY are trying to tell US.
Macro photography has always been one of my favorite types of photography. I like the way that the detail is shown well and how depth is shown. I like shallow depth of field pictures and really enjoy using aperture priority. I used AV and M for this assignment and I like having control over all aspects of the photo. Aperture mode helped me take good macro photos because I could control the depth of field. making it shallow for close up pictures.
1) Measurement of the size of the opening in the lens that controls the amount of light that reaches the digital sensor. 2) Aperture is measured by the f-number (f-stop or relative aperture), which is a ratio of the lens's focal length to the diameter of the entrance. 3) Large aperture = smaller number (Ex: f/2.8) Small aperture = larger number (Ex: f/22) 4) A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field. 5) Depth of field is the distance between the nearest and the furthest objects in a photo that are in focus 6) Aperture priority, portrait, macro, manual, landscape Shallow Dof F/4.0Large Dof F/22Charlie Waite
Charlie Waite is a landscape photographer who excels in pictures using a large depth of field. He is considered to be one of the world's leading Landscape photographers. This year, he received an invitation by the Royal Academy of Arts to exhibit in their Summer Exhibition. But why do people like his photos so much? Waite uses a large depth of field in exotic and interesting locations to let the viewer see things as if with his/her own eye. He has traveled around the globe in order to take the wonderful, vibrant pictures that he puts on display for everyone to admire. I like the way he uses vibrant colors all throughout the photo, which is in focus with a large depth of field. Starin at somethin |
